This is part of my adobe series photographed at Ghost Ranch New Mexico. Ghost Ranch was a dude ranch in the early 1900s. George O’Keeffe moved there early in her career to make it her home and studio and painted her most famous works in the surrounding area. It is a truly enchanted place. It took me years of photographing the adobe buildings before I finally captured their true essence. I love the ladder climbing to the sky! Original photograph by David Lancaster.
